curious factz:

Metallica played a brand new song called Cyanide from the upcoming record Death Magnetic!

Metallica played the Mercyful Fate medley with King Diamond on vocals. The last time they did that was at Gods of Metal in Milan, Italy 1999 when King Diamond and Hank Shermann joined the band on stage.

curious factz:

This was the first time that the band has played in Bergen.

Breadfan was played for the first time since November 11, 2004 in Nashville, TN. This was also the first time that Breadfan was played in the middle of the set. In the past, it has normally either opened the show or been in one of the encores.

So What was mistakenly played instead of Motorbreath. James was so used to going right into So What after Last Caress from the first leg of the tour that he automatically started playing So What without realizing what the setlist actually said.

This was a top secret club show that included many members of The Metallica Club.

The last time 'Tallica played on a tiny club was at Harry O at the Sundance Film Festival in 2006 and you can download that show too here in the blog.

By far my favorite show from this tour. Absolutely awesome! Short, yes, but awesome!

This is NOT the complete show. Actually this is a video from the Pinkpop festival with some highlights from Metallica show, all the songs are complete in the video. Nice image and excellent sound! Very nice to watch while I get the entire show in mp3.

Instructions: To watch the video you'll need to join all the files. To do that:

1. Open all files in one single directory. Exemple: Open a directory called "Metallica - Pinkpop" then save all the files there.

2. On the file 6 (Metallica - Pinkpop part6.rar) there's a little program called hjsplit.exe. After you saved all the files in one directory, open the hjsplit, select "JOIN" and on "input file" you select the file 1, and on "output file" you select where do you wanna save the entire video file, click START and it's done!

3. It's just simple as that. No secret. Open your favorite video player and enjoy some nice 'tallicA action on stage and a nice interview with Jaymz on the rehearsal room.
